Columbia 34 engine replacement

Does anyone have experience replacing the engine in a Columbia 34 MarkII ? It currently has a Palmer (beyond hope) and I would like to replace it with a diesel. Is it difficult matching a diesel to the Paragon transmission? Does the v drive raise any other concerns? Any suggestions are welcome.

When you purchase a new repower unit they usualy come complete with trans, mounts, harness and panel. Then you don't have to worry about the old trans. Pat McCartin Inland Marine Diesel Buford, ga imd_ga@hotmail.com
