I am just installing a new LV cold machine in my hunter 336. The instructions specifically call for direct wiring from the unit to the battery OR dedicated wiring from the panel back to the battery. My panel has a jumper (heavy #4 or so cable)from the DC main in, directly to the spare terminal marked for the refer (by the way 20 A not 10A), I can only assume this is there to eliminate voltage drops in the panel by wiring direct to the refer breaker. The power back to the battery then appears to be common. What do you think. If this eliminates enough voltage drop shouldn't I be ok?

Wiring the ColdMachine

The jumper is there to eliminate voltage drops through the panel. There is no problem hooking up thew ColdMachine this way.
