I have noticed a problem (for the second time in about 3-4 months) on my AB Cold Machine. Perhaps you can explain what is happening. We leave the system running during the week when we are away. When we returned to the boat this weekend, the box was barely cold. The freezer was only slightly cold to the touch. The compressor fan was running --- not cycling and the thermostat was set on 7 -- highest number. I turned the system off at the breaker and let it "rest" for a couple of minutes. Turned it back on and it worked fine. You could immediately feel the cold in the freezer. Can you tell me what is going on here? Many thanks, Wynn Ferrel S/V Tranquility

cooling on/off

The problem may be in the control module. (located at the compressor assembly)This is the with the 12 VDC connected to it. Return it to us and we will test and replace if needed. The address is PO Box 925, Clinton, CT 06413

Thanks, Bill

Let me get through the season and winterize and I will pull the unit and return it to you. Many thanks, Wynn Ferrel

Replace the breaker

I had a similar problem with my frig. Measure the voltage on each side of the circuit breaker with the system turned on. Use a digital volt meter. If there is any difference, replace the breaker. A bad switch or breaker, over a period of time, can trash the module. Hope this is not too late. A.B.
