Code Zero tack attachment

I just ordered the new sails for my Elite 324, and I'm considering adding a Code Zero assymetrical spinnaker to the order. My concern is the attachment of the tack to the stem. What I can find says essentially, attach a block forward of the forestay, and run the downhaul thru the block and up to the tack. But, on my boat, there isn't anything in front of the forestay; even the anchor roller barely protrudes, and the pulpit hardly seems strong enough. So what should the tack be attached to?

code 0

our code o is designed to set on the pole. the pole is set and a fixed height just about the bow rail and that projects out forward of the boat about a foot or so on mine. the sail is a real screamer and i cant say enough good things about it. Made by UK Sails in tampa.

I have flown one using the anchor roller

as a block ... with the line going to the bow cleat. Most of the time the wind is back enough so that the sail runs in front of the pulpit. They make a lot of noise about how you have to be able to use that tack line to control the sail ... but you can also use the halyard once you find a good position for most of your sailing. Just get it up and working and then you can figure out how to improve it ... if you need to. Adding a pole sounds like a last resort and complicates the program ... Yes they did it on the Cup Boats ... but that's another story ... as we say. Vic

How does a Code 0 differ from an asymetrical....

...spinnaker? Is it flatter or is there a wire luff, or what? What different conditions would you use it in? I have seen these Code 0 furlers. I would love to have my gennaker on one. I could install it on a small bowsprit. I would use it all the time when single-handing. Is that a possibility? Thanks, sorry about all the questions.
