Cockpit Throttle Control

My Catalina 27 has an original throttle control in the cockpit for the outboard motor. I just purchased a 2000 Johnson 8 hp and wanted to know how to get a conversion kit for the throttle and/or shifter. Is there a name for the device or a place one goes to get it?

those parts are pretty standard.

you can get them from any marine store that sells engine parts, such as west marine. If you might need manufacturer specific parts for the motor side cable connections, contact you local Johnson dealer.
