Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if they've seen a fold-out cockpit table for a H27 with tiller?
I'm thinking drinks, snacks while at rest, after the tiller is put up.

Thanks in advance,

Since there is no pedestal to attach a folding table to, I'm not sure what you would attach it to. I was thinking on my C22 to do a setup like my old Bayliner cruiser had. It had a recessed female tapered fitting in the floor that a 3" aluminum tube fit in (tapered ends). The bottom of the table top had one too but not recessed. We just plugged it in when we needed it. Fairly sturdy too. The tube and fittings can be found on Ebay pretty cheap. Just build a table top.

On a Starwind 223 we have a small table with a folding leg that is supported by a slide down insert into a bracket at the transom. When underway it lives in the V-Berth. The boat is 1200 miles away in a staging storage so cannot offer any pictures.

Good Old Boat Magazine had a "Do It Yourself" table a few months ago. Here's the citation from their web with a copy attached.

Maybe this is what you're looking for? For all I would highly recommend a subscription to this really fine magazine. For those of us with "Classic Plastic" boats this publication is TOPS.

A tiller-friendly cockpit table
by Gary Gerber

Numerous dining tables have been designed to fit on the binnacle consoles on sailboats with wheel steering, but on a tillersteered boat, like mine, making a table and its support to accommodate the tiller presents challenges. It must not impede the full swing of the tiller, and in my case had to allow the tiller to hinge up when not in use. Another important consideration for me was the height of the table. To further complicate things, I wanted a table that was convenient to use, could be set up and removed easily, and was easy to store below.
