cockpit storage hatch

The starboard cockpit seat bench has a dandy hatch that lifts up. What originally went in that hole, if anything? Was there a cooler there? If so, are these available?

Use it to keep things you need access to in a HURRY. Such as Lines (there's a neat cutout in the bulkhead) fenders, a boat hook, a signal horn ... you get the idea.

Storage

Ron, I also Keep a 5 gal. bucket with a trash bag liner in there. It's handy for the times that I am alone and need to dispose of something quickly. Beats trashing up the cockpit or cabin when the wind has you busy on a small lake.
