I just inherited at 1975 O’day 22. The previous owner had started to modify the aft part of the cockpit to accommodate what appears to be a motor well for the outboard. Does anyone have any idea if this has been done before and how to either complete it or return it to its original configuration. I am new into the small trailer-type boats so bear with me. Any ideas and thought would be appreciated. Christian cmoersch@aol.com

glass it in.

I thought about doing the same thing to mine, but she's not the fastest boat out there and the added drag I feel would be a hinderance. Not to mention alot of outboard wells sound like a toilet flushing. I would suggest having a good glass man repair the hull, and you should be able to remove the well walls and cover the hole with a nice plastic access hatch. Good luck
