After an exhaustive search of all available sources (to me) here on the continent, the following are the best prices I could come up with.

All prices quoted are in Euro's . Bear in mind that the US dollar has not been doing well for years against the Euro. Conversions can be had at www.oanda.com Although the conversion rates fluctuate daily, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a breakthrough. I receive my Army pension paid in US dollars, and for at least three years now, I have lost hundreds of dollars every month just due to the conversion rate. (LOTS of hundreds !!!!!)

Toggle fasteners, latches, hasps or whatever you wish to call them, are available for 16.95.
They are chromed-over brass, and only available as a 2 piece assembly. The hooks are not available separately.

Bollards with teak bar, or cleats are also only available as a unit, and only the teak bars can be ordered separately. The pedestals are chrome. Each cleat costs 29.80 complete. The teak bars are 12.00 if ordered separatly.

Shipping via the German Post is rather expensive. I will go to the Post today to inquire on costs. However I have a booklet with detailed costs, and the cheapest I could find was for a package up to 2 kilos (4.4 pounds) which runs 12.00 euros.

I will be leaving on the 17th of March for a 10 day ski trip in the Alps, and there is a US Army
Garrison nearby where I MAY have the opportunity to use their postal facility at much more reasonable costs. I say may, because as a retired soldier, I am restricted to sending mail weighing not more than 16 ounces (one pound), however I figure when it comes to the cleats, I will simply make multiple shipments.

Several members have expressed interest in ordering the above items. If you are not in a hurry, you can place your orders whenever you wish. If you would like to take advantage of the cheaper shipping costs, then you need to order ASAP. The choice is yours.

Do not forget to send me a shipping address. Payment can be made after delivery, either by money order or personal check made out to Frank Gallardo Jr.

get a spare foredeck cleat, you know with the two bases and teak bar.
Please email me at dutoit@... to discuss.

Emile,
Sure I can get you a cleat, like the old message read, they run 29.80 Euros each, and if all you want it one, the postage will probably run between 7 and 12 Euros (I am not sure). Check out the conversion rate at www.oanda.com The dollar is doing a lot better today than it was when that last message went out, but I won't be satisfied until I see one to one again. Let me know what you want to do, because I am planning an extensive cruise in the Baltic just as soon as my EPIRB arrives. Incidentally delivery time can take as little as four weeks or as much as 8.

Frank thanks to a tip from Alan, I found them at plastimo.com so I
don't want to bother you with it but thanks anyway.
