Hi there, I'd like to install a light on the arch of a 2001 290. Do I run the wires outside the stainless, or inside? If inside, is it OK to drill enter/exit holes? Not sure if that would compromise the strength of the tubing.
Also, how to I run the wires from the arch through the deck to the inside of the boat?
New owner, and this is my first post.
Thanks for your help!

My friend's h33 has wiring running all inside the SS Arch through into boat. No wires outside. You've to check your arch mount plates on deck, for holes. If there isn't it'll be tough drilling the thick plate. Otherwise have to dismount the arch to drill hole.

Starboard side

It's been many years but pretty sure 1 of the two mounting place should have a hole in one of 2 mounting where the the arch is bolted to the fiberglass hull.
Check and see which starboard closer has the hole if not need to drill yourself on starboard.
I did install light and speaker for AM/FM and ran wires along starboard up to
where radio is and pretty sure PVC pipe runs high along the starboard side.
