Cockpit Lid Catch

Hi,

Im looking for one of the original brass coatches for the cockpit locker lids, Mainly the smaller hook one that fits to the underside of the lid.

Does anyone have one surplus to requirements or know where i can get one.

Hi John Cant help on teh catches I'm afraid. I canged mine a few years back for some Stainless Steel ones! (Prolock I think the name) Bearing arrived and sent on, many thanks. Gonna ask for a donation to Matt Rutherford if that's ok? Cheers Steve B

Same problem. On my port locker I'm missing one piece on one latch pair.
Can't remember which piece it is.

On the port and starboard lockers the area for the latches is recessed
somewhat. My lazarette has no recesses and no latches. I wondered if
Minke ever had latches there.

I don't have any spare parts, but salvaged the pieces of the original catches, found in the bilge, by using 1/8" brass brazing rod to re-join the pivoted part.

Hi Alan,

I'm pretty sure mine is original. The lazarette has a single latch of
different design from the cockpit lockers and is not recessed.

Garry:

Do you happen to know if in the group archives there is a photo? If not,
when it is convenient could you take a photo. I need to fix the lazarette
closure for security and more importantly safety. I could always "slap on"
a clasp like the others.
