Hi all, I'm back, this time with a Boat! :) I just purchased an 87 O'Day 322, She is generally in great shape however there a few items that I need to replace right away and am having difficulty sourcing locally. 1. the cockpit scuppers. The flanges that fit on the top of the cockpit and thread onto the 90 degree fitting (below deck) are broken and leaking. The remainder of the fittings are ok. 2.Tank vent caps. A couple are missing. 3. The fresh water tank S/W over valve is missing. Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide. I did email the link suggested by J.B. Dyer in a another post. BYW, you provided information regarding a rudder for a 322 last summer but I decided to take a pass on that boat due to other issues. Cheers, Ernie Whalley Guelph ON Have a Good Watch

Let me know if you find the scuppers. have the same problem with the flanges except mine do not leak (yet). Try Rudy at D&R he may have them. Good luck with the boat. We love ours. Jeff

Post Script

Morning Guys: Ernie, that e-mail address you have is of course to Rudy. Keep in mine that this is routinely a busy time of the year for him and he might be slow returning your e-mail. You might find it necessary to call him and don't be surprised if his line is busy. If anybody can help you get authentic replacement parts for an O'Day, he's the guy, but he's just busy this time of the year as he's #1 for O'Days. Luck!

Try RV Parts Store

I just replaced the scuppers on my 302. Went to a RV dealership/parts store. They had a SS drain with 1 1/2" npt threads. Replaced the 90 with parts from a plumbing supply store. Works great. dave..

Something that works

Thanks for the replies guys!, I still haven't heard back from Rudy. I guess he's very very busy. I did leave message with Debbie. Not to worry, Here is what worked for me. I located a 1 ½ inch Marlon thru-hull, a Forespar # 906037 , and an elbow with the same thread., a Sierra The thru-hull comes with a strainer, which I popped out. I then cut it off at the flange. I’ll use 4200 for the thru- hull and let it set. I will just run a bead of silicone at the elbow joint once its all back together. I think it will be stronger than the original. You can see a picture of the original and the new bits at: http://www.guelph-power-sail.ca/images/Cockpit_drain1.jpg And what it will look like assembled. – here: http://www.guelph-power-sail.ca/images/Cockpit_drain2.jpg I had to hit two stores but you can probably get both parts, or similar at West Marine. Cheers all Ernie
