I am having trouble with cockpit drains clogging with debri and holding water in cockpit. Thought about making the holes in the strainer large but do not want glog the lines. Need advice on how to correct the problem. Looked on the net for a dome strainer did not find.

Could you try a urinal strainer? You wouldn't need it while on the boat so you can stow it when not in use. (And if you forget to stow it with guests on board it'll make a great conversation piece.)

I have loads of trees where I keep my H23, so this has been a problem for me also. Not sure how your cockpit drains are setup, but I use a mesh sink strainer fitted to 'dome' over the scupper hole.. take a walk through your local wally-world or other home store and you will find lots of different sizes and shapes. Make sure to get it in stainless. Mine looks very simliar to this one I found online. You might also find something suitable at your local borg in the plumbing department.

Cheers,

We had this issue on my H'31. We had cockpit scruppers that had drain guards that prevented stuff from going down the drains (one on each side). I removed one of the drain guards which seemed to work okay.

You may want to take a look at something like thing that you could put into the drain and keep the crap out of the hose, but still allow water to pass.
