We are replacing all the hoses on our 1979 37C and have come across a disturbing sight involving the cockpit drain hoses.
The steering cable is acting like a saw against the hoses. (Somewhere in her past, someone put duct tape around the hoses as a chafe guard).
Has anyone else replaced their hoses and come across this issue, and how did you resolve it?
We understand the hoses need to cross, however, we do not want them to interfere with the steering cable. Our port side manual bilge pump exits on the starboard side and our exhaust hose exits port side.
See attached.
Thank You!
