Cockpit Drain Hose

Once again, I get halfway through a project and can't find the right
parts. I have to change the cockpit drain hoses. Mine were cracked
and have a split. I removed them pretty easily and trotted off to
the marine store. Biggest they had was 1.5" (38 mm) inner diameter
PVC. This was just a tad too small. So I spent the next couple of
hours going from marine store to hardware store/home supply
store/camper store/automotive supply store/hot tub & swimming pool
store. No one has over 1.5" hose (except for much larger drainage
hose). I tried a little boat soap and tried to cram the 1.5" PVC
onto the valve but no dice. I might try using a dremel to put a
bevel on the hose end, and then take a hair dryer to heat the hose
up. Has anyone replaced this hose? With what? From where?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris

Try putting the end of the hose into really hot water then you hve about 30 seconds to force it on the valve. Good luck
