Cockpit dimensions

Hello,

I am looking at a 1984 Mac 25 long distance (the boat is in California, I a in Florida). What are the dimensions of the cockpit? How long are the cockpit seats? Also could someone describe the cockpit lockers? What is the typical boom sheeting and traveler setup?

There should be lots of them close to you in Fl. Try searchtempist.com it checks all of Craigslist for what ever you ask it to.
Also check the boat info tab above. There is probably a manual for a 25 in pdf form.

I just found one cheap. There almost giving them away.
25' MacGregor Sailboat - $900 (Allen, MD) 1984 MacGregor trailerable sailboat. Comes with trailer and 7.5 Honda 4 cycle engine. A great beginner boat. It been neglected for a number of years but everthing is there. Just need to add some elbow grease. Have not tried starting the engine but should run. Sails are onboard but have not been checked. Swing keel is rusty and gel-coat is chipping off. Trailer will need work done to the lights and tires. The trailer will get you home as is. The price is firm and once I start cleaning her up it will be raised. If you're looking for a good beginner boat this one is for you. Give me a call and make an appointment to check it out.

I looked in the boat info tab and did not find a manual with any specs.
Also I am moving to California, that is why I am not looking in Florida.

Cockpit length-----80 inches
With------64 inches max
Seats-----19 inches max

One cockpit locker on the stb side, door aprox 12x24.

It is really hard to describe this area on a 25 because it can be reached from the cabin at the end of both the stbd and port seats and there is a 3foot square drop in the liner under the cockpit floor.

I put up this wall port side to close up this entrance to this area.

I extended the small center wall to close access to the cockpit storage and make a back rest for the seat.

There is at least 12 feet of storage under the port seat with two openings there is also storage under the fwd. port seat, enuff for two groupe 27 battery cases. Under the aft stb. seat there is almost twice the storage.

There is no storage under the b-berth as that is full of floation along wit the area under the cockpit behind the the access hatch.
