We've had our 1976 boat 1 year and need to replace the cockpit cushions. Been looking at Bottomsiders, but the vinyl covering sounds sticky to sit on in hot weather. Would like to go w/a dark color, but I think it will absorb the sun rather than reflect as a light would do. Any help out there??

I recently sold my 36 and it had the stock Catalina cushions. I was going to get other than Catalina cushions, but after checking prices and comfort, I am going to buy cushions for my new 380 from catalina....good luck Gary

...lighter colors for hot weather. The dark colors do indeed absorb heat. However, the big advantage to their design is that they dry and clean very quickly, and also last one heck of a long time.

I have baby blue cushions (not my color of preference) but (no pun intended) they sure a lot cooler than dark blue would be. Besides, in really hot weather, you're gonna have some towels down to soak up the sweat anyway, so color really is moot. Definitely get the thin closed cell cushions (like Bottomsiders) cuz they stow easily & clean up in a snap. LaDonna
