Cockpit Cushions

We priced cockpit cushions for a Hunter 240 last summer and their were $750.00. I went to order them today and they are now almost $1,200.00. That seems like a really big price increase!

I can buy Seachoice Emergency Marine Foam Flotation cushions from Amazon for $19.99 each in white. Five cushions would cover over six feet in the cockpit and I can take them a shore for seats.

Generalized inflation numbers don't capture what's happened to foam prices over the past two years. Pricing reflects our wholesale cost, with a reduced margin. Not sure what else we can do.

patbratton...........those cushions are about the best around. I installed them on my Hunter 386 and now 46. They look really good, hold their shape, do not take on water, easy to clean and have a very long life (as long as you stow them down below when not in use).

Get them now, nothing will be cheaper next year, mine are about 10 years old, amortized that's $125/year.

Amazon just delivered the two cushions. I could not be more pleased. The pre-installed snaps on the back are a nice touch. These should be perfect. It was 23 degrees here in Georgia this morning but I may just take them up to the lake to see how they look.

I work in the furniture industry and our upholsterer told me 3 inch thick foam is around $120 per 18 in square.... foam price is tied to oil.
