I've checked out a couple of websites for cockpit cushions for our 23.5 and am suffering a bit of sticker shock. $750 - 850 seems the going rate. Has anyone found a reasonable place to purchase cushions?

If your cockpit is shaped somewhat in rectangles, check into the cooler-top cushions. They are a smooth vinyl but are pretty tough and a lot less than a custom cushion. We got 4 from Academy for about $100 and have used the heck out of them for ~ 3 years.

I wouldn't trade the ones I bought from this site for anything. The quality is awesome. They fit perfectly, snap in place, and don't soak up water. Worth every penny.

Just bought cushions from Ameriseam for our Hunter 23. We upgraded to Sunbrella and with shipping paid less than $400. We received them in less than 2 weeks and are very pleased. They are worth checking out. Freebird

k, I talked to brian this morning as I stopped by his shop to see what he's done for the cushion pricing , he said he can build the two cockpit cushions and backrests with 2" foam and sunbrella fabric and stitch the hunter logo in the backrests for $400.00 , he said shipping would be extra , hope it helps

See your friendly neighborhood sailmaker or canvas-cover guy. You'll get good, personalized local service by someone who can personally visit and measure your boat. And you can pick your color preference from samples you can see and feel in your hand. Best of all you'll get cheap or free advice and assistance.

brian is my friendly neighborhood sailmaker or canvas-cover guy. honestly this isnt a sales "plug" there are three in our area and he has the best prices across the board that coupled with the quality makes him a busy man here. as for service call and talk to the guy I'm sure you will arive at the same position alot of folks do that this guy knows his stuff and is more then wiliing to discusss anything pertaining canvas work in great detail with you via walk in or calling from across the country. just saw this post and knew from prices that were originally posted that it sounded high. My guy is owner operator and has a small overhead hence he can price far below the other guys with a much larger overhead . just my two cents , good luck with the project reguardless of where you purchase
