Cockpit carpet

I have always placed some carpet in the cockpit area (not downstairs) for comfort and have been using varying types of indoor/outdoor from Lowes, etc.

I usually get one good season out of them and then they start to shread around the edges and pull up. Have tried double/stick tape with mild success, but it does leave a messy residue that I clean up with "Goo Be Gone".

Has someone found a really good type of mat or carpet that drains and dries quickly (prevent mold) and lasts??

Surely, some company has come up with some poly-whatever that stays in place and takes a beating, while draining quickly.

Any suggestions??

We use the indoor/outdoor with rubber backing and rubber flange around it for outside our RV door and they should be great for our boats as well. Saw some at Grocery Outlet yesterday for $12.
