Foam Brush

I have been using a foam brush when I put the Cetol on Angels' Grace teak. It seems to work well and I don't have any brush marks. I do my best to keep it off the caulking but invariably some does get on. It doesn't seem to be a problem. Actually, many times it won't stick and is fairly easy to scrape off after it dries. I am in process of coating teak on my B-361 with Cetol light. Ive tried it first on the tansom walk-through. It applied easily after cleaning with brightner, but I am concerned about the longevity of the coating on the black rubber strips between the teak strips. has any one had experience using this coating on the teak found on most Beneteaus, they all have the Butyl(I assume ) strips between teak?

I apply it to the wood with a 2 in" brush.

Some of it gets on the caulking, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. It is not practical to try to tape the caulking or wipe the access off.
