Wondering if anyone has any favorite places to sail off the S.C coast. I've sailed the Charleston Harbour out to Morris Island and and poked out into the Atlantic a little, and have heard that there are some good anchorages south, but that you also need to be careful of the area because of the rivers/ tidal currents. Has anyone cruised the area...? If anyone has any info. or advice I would appreciate it! Richard

Kiawah Island

We vacation quite often at Kiawah Island just south of Charleston. Enter the inlet to the Kiawah River which is southern most. The northern entrance is quite shallow. After entering Kiawah River follow the channel to your starboard side a marina, shops and very nice restaurant is a great place to stop.
