as a new Vega owner (V1583) I've got a fair sized jobs list to get through. My surveyor suggested that I look at replacing my coachroof winches which I have since found out are the original sheet winches- single speed alloy Lewmar 8s, with an old-fashioned socket size which measn I need to carry two sizes of winch handle.
For those who have led lines aft, what size of winch have you found appropriate? I'd like to downsize to size-7 winches since I can get a pair for £125, as opposed to £200 for size 8.
