In the process of removing and replacing all the teak on my 1977 Oday 22, I had to pop the ceiling buttons off in order to remove the interior nuts that hold down the hand rail. The problem is the buttons were dry rotted and none are salvagable. Looking to replace the 12 buttons, thanks in advance for any help.

plugs or ????

are the buttons teak plugs or mushroom shaped? Size? If they are plugs you should be able to find a plug cutter at local hardware store. If they are mushroom shaped drop me an email and I will do do a few calls to local hardwood suppliers. Jim

Coachroof plugs.

Jim, Thanks for your response. For clarification, they are actually plugs, not buttons as I originally stated. They are white and made of plastic. The opening they fill is 3/4 of an inch. Thanks for your help.

Try this....

This is an automotive item. Try your local NAPA auto store, or any quality automotive store. They have a rack with an array of these type plugs. Probably much cheaper than a marine source. Good luck.....Gary

Buttons

If its the buttons I think you are talking about which cover the screw heads ( they are in 2 parts (1 part goes over the screw before you place it the other part snaps over the first part and hides the screw head). In this area they are available at the local Home hardware store in the cabinet section. If you have no luck give me your mailing address and I will send you a sample. Cheers
