So it looks like filling my old 1990 Hunter CNG tank is next to impossible in New Mexico and southern AZ these days with the low pressure rating (2250) on the 72cuft tank. Everyone is using the CNG Vehicle filling connectors and they freak out when I show them my tank, the connection and the low pressure limit and refuse to fill it.
So I am looking at getting a 3000 PSI type 1 CNG tank but I was wondering if anyone new that pressure rating on the regulators used. The gauge goes to 5000 PSI, so you would think the regulator would too, but I do not want to make that assumption.
I am not inclined to switch to propane. I know I can get a new tank for $350 bucks but they regulator could cost some $$$$...
Any body know facts on this? Anybody adapt to CNG vehicle fittings/tanks?
