Headsail Choices
Raleigh, Without knowing what sails you already have it is hard to advise you as to what you need to add. A basic club race headsail inventory is a 150-155% #1 Genoa and a 95-98% #3 Genoa for heavier air. If you want a single sail to perform over a wide range on a furler a 135% is a good size. With this sail you will be slightly underpowered in the light stuff and a bit overpowered when it gets heavy. This is not ideal but sure makes your headsail choice easy! Also a 135% Genoa is great for day sailing and cruising. Good Sailing, Bill
