I found a 22' morgan, probably from the mid 60's. The owner offered it for free to me. Then a S.O. got in there and insisted it was worth $1500. I passed. Well, lot rent is due and they called back. Want me to take it for free. I pointed out that I had purchased a boat since I talked to them, and no longer wanted it. If anyone in southern Maine/New Hampshire wants a free 22' morgan, e-mail me at mg34ss@yahoo.com A back hoe is coming in next week to break it up. It's not in very good shape, but it could be restored or salvaged by someone with more time than cash. She's all there. No trailer, no motor, but the mast, sails, rudder, and gear are useable. Hate to see a clasic die. Later....

Question?

I cant remember, but did the Morgans 22 have a retractable keel or not? If they did I'd go and salvage her as right now my Mac 22 is off the trailer! If they had a full keel, then I couldnt haul her! That is such a waste to destroy her!

I agree it's a shame to smash it up. There must be someone out there with more time than money that can fix her up. Looked for the site that Don mentioned and came up with a link below. A friend of mine in Puget Sound has a barn where he can put a boat inside to work on it and something like this would be right up his alley. Unfortunately its on the wrong coast.
