I was born in 1975...
Now the story starts on craigslist, From there I purchased my dream on the shore of Lake Champlain. I arrived and saw the boat sitting there, The man selling the boat for the widowed gentleman had guarantied the tires held air. LOL... for the $200.00 I was on the road. So the Photos I will post are my first impressions as well. Then the seller told me the story about how a young married couple purchased the vessel in 1975 and sailed the boat the Named the boat can you guess? Sola Fide. So the story goes they sailed boat and trailered the boat from lake Michigan to Vermont and they sailed the boat together on all the lakes between. They had the basic set up and sailed for many years, The wife got ill and then when she passed the old man attempted to sail alone, dropped the mast stepping the mast, broke the fiberglass, in the cockpit and then the water intrusion damaged the interior. It was parked and partially stripped. Sold to me. Original yellow shag carpet still going strong. Here are some photos. The Second generation Sola Fide is here. Thanks.

There's a fella in our marina who sails one. Cute little boat. We used to own a Catalina 22, so we know small boats. Good luck, all the best.

Hey thank you for the kind responses. It sure sails great and it is fast for when I sailed it went wing on wing light wind sailed right along and was very happy. I decided to get a 50lb thrust trolling motor and it moves the boat along on the lake well. We will see how the the vessel handles with the swells here on Champlain, I look forward to possibly taking it to lake Michigan and sail the big one. The boat is all wrapped up for the season and I look forward to the day in the spring.

Ahoy Mate's, every one. I wanted to show every one my favorite photo when I was sailing wing on wing, Also a few after the gel coat repair. I am looking forward to spring. I am thinking winter is a great time to get ready to have a great time. I am thinking a fresh water tank and grey water tank with a sani poti that will bring the extend stay away from the dock. I will say I see a larger sail boat in my future. But the trailer sailing is a little different and provides the ability to stay any where. land or sea. I hear wal mart parking lots provide a great parking for over night travel. Is there ever a trailer sailor meet and greet on the new England area? Is that even a thing?
