I tried cranking the engine with 2 of the 3 injectors in place, hoping to "pop out" the precombustion chamber parts out of the 3 bore. No luck. The peices inside are frozen inside the cylinders. Any other suggestions? Stuck in Seattle, James & Tina Marohn

You may need to ....

to close up the hole at the top of the precombustion chamber (about 1/4 inch dia )pieces with a suitable device and at the same time with a towel to catch the pieces, but they will pop out. Problem is that if you do not seal the hole at the top, the compression will leak by and will not pop it out if it is stuck. First time I tried to pop them out I used my finger to do that, not advisable!! So use a solid device that you can hold in there while cranking. Something like the handle end of a screwdriver which will cover the hole and then use the other end to hold it in place with a towel wrapped around the the shank of the screw driver. Good luck. Precombustion chamber removal

Ernie's idea might make the difference. The WD40 soak that you have already done could be repeated and may help. If you put the injectors back in an work some penetrant around the outside it will go where you want it and not just dump on top of the piston. Let it set as long as you have time and/or patience. If all this fails, and you really have to get the chambers out, it's time for head removal. You may want to try what you have already done on the other cylinders. If even one comes apart you will be able to see what the parts look like and how they come out. This could lead to some new insite on your part. If you get a good idea, let the rest of us know.
