What is the preferred method to clean the rigging (turnbuckles, etc). Thanks.

I reccomend a wire brush and WD-40. Stainless polish will help prolong the life of your stainless steel components, as well.

As far as wire brushes go, I'd get several types (nylon, brass, and steel). Use the softest one that will clean the material to minimize scratching.

turnbuckles are usually chrome plated bronze so that the stainless fittings on the ends of your shrouds & the turnbuckle threads don't gall (sp?) - so the stuff is pretty soft (relatively speaking)..I'd use something like maybe Soft Scrub or boat wash and scrubby sponge.

I save the wire brushes for scraping rust off my A-4..:poke:
