Hey there!
Well, this restoration/ rejuvenation of the 1980's Hunter 31 I acquired this past summer is going well! Its just looking better and better all the time... I've read a lot of your posts for tips and ideas.

Here's my question of the day: The ports ..are looking rather sad/ dingy - I'm not so much concerned about the window itself, but rather - the plastic frames and the piece that goes around the frame. They're sort of off white- but have take in a lot of dirt, so look dirty/ dingy. I've scrubbed and scrubbed.. Have you found some sort of plastic cleaner that works well on these? I replaced a broken one in the cockpit.. but most of the others just need a good cleaning.

Thanks in advance!

I would try the Collinite cleaner ( not the combination wax/cleaner- just the straight cleaner) I have found it to work the best on my frames on the H34- same frames as yours. Have not found anything that KEEPS them clean- Collinite wax is not too bad.

If they are badly oxidized the best thing to do is replace them. Gray, a division of Pompanette LLC (Bomar) still make parts for the portholes,

Well, I replaced one.. I will replace another broken one on the side. But - thought I'd give a good cleaning a try for now!
