What does everyone use to clean the dark water traces from rain etc. which show up over time. Everyone gets these and they are usually very difficult to remove. When we had a new camper, the dealer told us to use "spic and span" which did do a very good job. How about everyone else?

Tide

I have always used Tide and a brush, I know that is not the most environmentally friendly way to go but it works.

Oxalic acid

I have found the best product to use is a deck and fiberglass cleaner in a gel form, based on Oxalic acid. There is no other product that I found which will clean my white bootstrip or the darn Tennesse mud of the topsides. Requires no scrubbing. Better living through Chemistry.

on off

I used a product called "On Off" and it worked great. It was also a type of acid (biodegratable) and couldn't be easier to use. Just paint this thin liquid on the effected areas, wait 60 sec and rince off with a hose and everything is sparkeling white and it will not harm your jell coat. good luck Dave Oberholtzer "hydrotherapy"

Oxalic Acid

The stuff I bought was at a Hardware store. I believe it was from "Deckwood?". Meant mainly for wood decks. The product was labeled to clean wood and fiberglass.
