cleaning mast,

I have a z spar mast and wonder what others use to clean these ? also removed my motor mount and found a small wood insert in back of motor mount where it meets boat transom, the wood has signs of rot , what is the cure for this, ? thanks Mike B

Rubbing compound

I just cleaned mine with heavy duty rubbing compound then applied a nice coat of wax........Both the mast and boom look great.DaveS/V Simply Magic

Penatrol

Our rigger advised us to clean the mast with soap and water and then put a couple coats of Penatrol on. It looks great and should last.Bob
