Cleaning Interior fabric

Any advice on how to best clean the interior cushions on a 1989 Catalina 30. They are not in bad shape, but as a new owner I would like to give them a good cleaning. If I could remove them from the foam, could they go in a regular washing machine? Should they be dry cleaned? Should I have the folks who clean my carpet and home furniture give it a try? Any advice would be appreciated.

Cleaning cushions

We took all our cushions off our 1984 Catalina 30 in the spring. We purchased the boat in July of last year and the previous owner had a small dog that left a lot of grey hair on the cushions plus there was the typical "boat odour" in them. We vacuumed the cushions while still on the foam then took the covers off and threw them in the washing machine with some fabric softener. We did NOT put them in the dryer. We put them back on while they were a little damp and they came out almost like new.
