This spring, I cleaned the hull of our 1986 C34 with Pink, then the crystal clear, followed by the simply brilliant wax. The boat has a beige hull, the island girl products did a remarkable job of brining back the color of the hull which previously was almost undectable. My question.... where the deck drains overboard, there are black streaks on the hull. I am afraid to use the IG pink to wash this off because I might undo the IG layers I did this spring. Also, my IG Pink does not give dilution recommendations. Can you offer a dilution recommendation in a gallon of water for general light cleaning?

Just doing some work on clarification

black streaks on regular wax are easily removed by an "black streak remover or cleaner" that are really just wax removers. The streaks in the SB Superwax are more stubborn because of the thickness of the film and the very large amount of resin content. However, it does dissolve in pink. Lighter pollution comes off with water diluted IG pink, deeper stains use pink full strength and then touch in the shine (Silkenseal and or SUperwax. I have found a REALLY FAST way is to use the Mirror Hard Superglaze. It quickly removes the stains AND leaves a shine. Since it has no wax content it is also much more resistant to staining, so those run off areas are now more protected. You should have had a sample of the latter in your kit. If not let me know through e-mail through the IG website or 1-800-441-4425. I have been spending the last month or so gathering pollution stain data from customers, including some really weird ones (sugar, herbicide, etc) and will be posting the results shortly. Still need more data on rust marks though. Hope this is some help...Don't hesitate to contact us Jim Willis
