My H240 is starting its 4th season. I wanted to wash the cushion covers. I noticed a tag that said dry clean only. The covers are not stained. I would just like to give them a good cleaning after 3 years worth of kids eating chips on them. Has anyone washed these in their home machine on gentle cycle then let them hang dry. Only other option is the dry cleaning machines at the coin op mats. The local dry cleaners want $50. That seem crazy to me.

cleaning

I just cleaned my set from a Hunter 27. I took pads and all to my local carpet cleaner guy and he did mine in his shop. He used low strength water and powder agent and they are great. If you need specifc details e-mail me at leedhn@aol.com

Cushions at the dry cleaner.....

I just picked ours up at the dry cleaner this past Friday. It was $56, but they look brand new. Like yours, they didn't have stains all over them, but were in need of sprucing up. It does seem like a lot if $$$, but I didn't want to take the chance of washing and drying them in my house machine and have them shrink on me.

Another option for cushion cleaning

Getting ready for this season, I also wanted to "freshen" the cloth cushions. Since boat is still new (second season for us) they really were not dirty. Didn't want to risk washing, and didn't really think they were $50 worth of dirt. I had that dry clean new product in house called "DRYEL" Worked great, took a while, since I only put one cover in at time- but no shrinkage.I used a medium dryer setting.
