I just purchased a 82 Hunter 33 that has corrosion in the fresh water tank (aluminum). What is the best and safest method of cleaning without removal and replacement? abf.
There's no practical way to stop it...it can be done, but not without removing the tank and more expense than just replacing it. But first make sure it IS corrosion you're seeing and not hard water minerals and calcium carbonates that have built up on the surface inside the tank.
