Does anyone have any tricks for cleaning Caframo Bora fans? I have four of these units which I really like but I am starting to question my decision to purchase the white over the black

Does it make you feel better if you cannot see the dirt?

Have you tried compressed air. (cans or a compressor)

No tricks that I know of, but once you clean them, maybe Brian's idea will help them stay that way.....check out post #1370 http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?t=83009&page=69

Ralph,
Thanks for the link...and the unexpected pleasure of being introduced to the "Boat Babe".
I discovered how to take off the back of the fan with the four screws...at that point it's not too difficult to get in there and clean out the dust. Mine had over a year of accumulation so I just could not take it any longer. They now look like new!

I've been training my wife not to see dirt on the boat. At first it was a struggle, but once she learned she would be cleaning it, she couldn't see it either.

She still sees it at home pretty good, at least in bathrooms and on my work slacks.
