There's an enclosed area I'd like to let some cleaner sit in for a while to clean up the mess from a previous leak but also to ensure that my newly rebedded through hull isn't leaking. I was thinking maybe oxyclean??

I've used OxyClean on my deck, including 8 port lights,

I'd suggest a good citric acid product. The one I like is Citrisurf 2210. It's main use is for the passivation of stainless steel, but I've found it works very well as a cleaner. You can buy it on Amazon.
