CAPTIAN BOB

I own a Hunter 29.5. Last season we used DOLPHINITE cleaner and wax (2 different products) the results were good but both poducts were very difficult to buff off once they started to dry.because of this it was a very slow and tedious project.Does anyone know of a product or products that go on and off easy but also lasts the season??????

Spider wax

Are you the same Cap't Bob who doesn't get along with spiders? How are going to find time to wax when you are eliminating the little critters?

COLLINITE

products, such as Fleetwax, are easy to use and perform very well.

Meguire's #50 & #56

When I bought my new 40.5 in 1998, the local fiberglass man told me to use Meguire's #50 and #56 for the first 5 years. One of these is a cleaner-wax and the other is just pure wax. I did nothing for the first and second year, but in the spring of the third year I used these products. I thought the results were very good and lasted the entire season. I did the entire boat in one long day - basically two applications, first with the cleaner-wax and again with just the pure wax. The fiberglass man recommended using 3M rubbing compound and 3M Finesse during years 6-10. After 10? He said to call him and he would repaint!!$$$$$$ I plan on using Meguire's until the results are not satisfactory. Rich

3m has a line of marine cleaners and wax that I have found easy to use and give good results!
