Clean Stainless Steel w/o harming wax job

I used your method of compounding and waxing on my old Hunter 33. Is there a safe way to clean my stainless steel w/o damaging the wax on the topsides? Not sure whether to post this here or at end of your "Tips for a Great Buff Wax" posting. Thanks.

Spotless Stainless..... Brush it on, rinse it off. It has never harmed my wax job because when you rinse it gets highly diluted.
