Clean filter

I see a clear bubble in the filter on the diesel line to my webasto 3500. I believe it is water and would like to empty it.


Hints on how it is disassembled are all welcome

Is that a clear plastic hose you are using as fuel line ??

Yes. The fuel line is the clear plastic line.

It is air.

Q: How do I know this?
A: Diesel fuel has a specific gravity of 0.87 or so, which means that any trapped water would be on the bottom of your filter.

Interesting. This means the white smoke and start up problem is not caused by water in the diesel.

White smoke is normal for a Webasto start up. I'm more familiar with Espar units but I'm sure Webasto offers service kits, which these heaters require regularly depending on use or lack there of. Call your local dealer.
