Clackety clack noise.

At abt 2500rpm and above I get that noise. I'm think engine alignment and the shaft hitting the log. But in reverse at 2500rpm no noise.

Yanmar 3jh2e. Noise is from under aft cabin (Hunter 376). I had prop shaft replaced and cutlass done about 5 yrs ago.

Too bad there's not a marine version of those Boston auto guys.
Loose or broken engine mount? In reverse that mount may be compressed and not an issue. In forward the torque builds up with RPM and when things get out of kilter, Clackety clack. But look who's talking! If I weren't bored to death I wouldn't even venture a guess.
