Sounds like an ambitious undertaking. There is a series of books by Liza Copeland who sailed a 40 footer from France to Vancouver Canada, via Greece, with a family of five and have set off again, but not with the entire family. The copy I have is called "Just Cruising", Europe to Austrailia. This issue talks about all the upgrades they made which would be really helpful. I understand there is a follow-on book. The authors husband was a Beneteau dealer in Vancouver. With the more violent weather due to global warming one might want to prepare accordingly.
