Choosing an evaporator???

I have a 9 cf ice box and will be adding a A/B SuperCold Machine this year. Isulation is only average, so I will add some more. I am still trying to determine which evaporator to use, the holding plate or the large vertical. I will not be freezing anything, although the ice cube tray in the vertical evap. is appealing. Cruising in New England during the summer. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jeff B.

Large evap

You'd be much better off with the large evaporator. The PowerPlate makes an excellent small freezer, but the larger surface area of the evapoator makes it a better choice for a mid size refrigerator. And you'll be able to make ice much faster.
