Stop by the LMHSA table and say Hi!
A number of us from the Lake Michigan Hunter Sailing Association will be attending the Strictly Sail in Chicago. We would like to invite you to join our group. Take a look at www.lmhsa.com. We haven't updated it since our Fall Dinner but we have a Winter Dinner in Chicago on January 26th. We will be getting together for dinner Friday and Saturday night at Strictly Sail.We think the show is well worth the effort but not for the money savings. We do save up our wish list and fulfill it at the show and save a few bucks but that is not the main reason we buy at the show. We meet vendors and get them to attend our meetings and give presentations. They also sponsor our summer rendezvous and donate all kinds of door prizes. Our slip neighbor (a member of LMHSA) has a 1984 Hunter 34 and has completed a number of upgrades to it. There are several other members of the group with 34s. I think one of them is up in Menominee. We sail a 1987 31 out of Milwaukee. We have updated all of the items you listed (Depth & Wind instruments, 12v fridge, battery monitor, seacock valves) and much more. We got most of them at Strictly Sail plus sails, whisker pole, cockpit cushions, inflatable vests, lines, blocks, canvas, paint, led lights, windrider. We have attended Strictly Sail for 3 days for the last 12 years. We look at boats on Friday when the crowds are a little lighter, attend seminars on Saturday, and do our shopping on Sunday after doing our shift in the LMHSA booth. We usually stay at the Chicago City Centre Hotel on Ohio Street. It is just a half block from the Navy Pier Trolley route.Hope you can make it to the Party.Marybeth & RipDulcinea II
