Chicago Area Maintenance on My Yanmar 2QM15

This is an urgent request. We need a reference for someone in the Chicago area to help us with a problem on our Yanmar 2QM15. We are unable to get forward drive however we are able to move in reverse. After disconnecting the cockpit linkage and contolling the transmission directly, the problem persist. The propoller will rotate in both forward and reverse directions but under forward load, the shaft will almost come to a stop.

Sounds like a transmission problem.

Dick:I sounds like you have a transmission problem. You may want to check with the Yanmar Distributor in your area about a rebuilt tranmission.
