OK, so I'm burned out on all the plumbing, rigging and maintenance threads and ended up trying to keep up with Stuart Walker's latest article on racing strategy in Sailing World. Although the article is interesting for the effects of tidal currents near Annapolis, what intrigued me was the entrance to Lake Ogleton. Years ago I sought shelter there before an evening thunder storm and thought it to be a beauiful place. I got thru the channel OK in my then 3' draft Hunter 25, but because we now draw 5'-2" we haven't tried the entrance in years.Anybody have some local knowledge they'd care to share?
