The loose organization that is now the American Vega Association, as
many of you who have been around for a while know, grew out of a much
more formal and local club called VODCA, the Vega One Design
Chesapeake Assn. I'd very much like to see a revival of acitivity in
the Chesapeake area. I count 16 AVA members in the MD,DE,PA,VA area
and there are sure to be more, perhaps subscribers to this list, who
are not members of AVA. Coincidentally this is the same number as in
the BC, WA area where a successful rendezvous was held last year,
thanks to Brian, and another is planned for this summer organized by
Judy Schwann.
It may be too late for this season. A few phone calls should be
enough to decide that; but if someone in the Chesapeake area wants to
step up and organize an event I'm sure you can count on our support.
If you need help getting started contact me.
