Anyone know these boats, Rhodes design, built Denmark early 1960's? They are
very beautiful and one is offered to me . . .

Funny you should ask, I just picked one up a couple of months ago. There is
some info on their website, and a girl named Dina has her own site fitting
out for Ireland I think. Try "Sovereign Nations". I'm on my mobile right
now. . .more later. Craig

I actually have the west coast version Gulf Cabrillo 32. The Danboats and
ASL33s may have deck delam probs and external keels so really no, just
usual stuff.

I\'m sure you have been to this site Highpeak . Dena\'s
site is here Sovereign Nations – Around the World in 80 Years…Maybe and has some interesting
ideas. The group site can\'t compare to ours
Google Groups . I have rust spots on my standing
rigging so have only sailed it a couple of times with a reef in and working
jib. Very easy motion, initially tender then very stable and easy to sail.
From what I gather and my impression is that you will need to fly the genny
to balance the full main. It may just be my sail, for the belly is much too
far aft, but a good sized jib will be important in any case. My forward
hatch is a mess and will need a rebuild, stupid design. Enough wood to keep
ya busy if ya like it, or a chore if ya don\'t. I figure it to be my last
boat.
